What we collect
Clerk handles the authentication identity data needed to sign in to Taavo. Convex stores the Taavo profile, session, participation, join-request, safety and block data needed to operate the product. This includes the profile details you choose to provide, such as your first name, role, languages and optional bio.
Location
Location may be used for Medellín launch-region and nearby-venue behavior. Taavo does not continuously track you or share your precise location with other users.
How we use information
We use information to operate Taavo, show sessions, support joining decisions, apply safety controls and communicate launch updates you requested. We do not sell personal information.
Founding Membership and payments
Stripe handles Founding Membership payment and checkout details. Taavo does not directly store full card numbers. Taavo may receive and record the confirmation details needed to reconcile payment, handle disputes, contact you about onboarding and associate a confirmed Taavo+ entitlement with the Founding Member account using the checkout email. Founding Membership referral source and direct attribution may be recorded; no automatic referral payout is promised.
WhatsApp/community onboarding is optional. If you choose to join, your phone number and profile information may be visible to group participants and processed by WhatsApp under its own terms and privacy policy. Email onboarding is always available instead.
Safety and moderation
Taavo stores reports and block choices so it can support reporting, blocking and moderation. Blocking removes that person and sessions involving them from your discovery experience. Safety records may be retained in anonymized form when needed for abuse handling, audit integrity or legal obligations.
Account deletion and retention
In-app account deletion removes your profile, hosted sessions, participation, join-request and block data. A hosted session is deleted unless a safety report needs its reference for audit integrity; in that case it is replaced by a non-visible anonymous tombstone. Safety records may remain in anonymized form. Taavo also asks Clerk to delete the authentication account. If the Clerk deletion step is interrupted, the app provides a retry path.
Stripe and financial records may remain for payment disputes, accounting or legal obligations. A minimal, non-visible deletion record may retain opaque identifiers and a deletion timestamp so delayed identity events cannot recreate an account and safety references remain valid.
Third-party services
Clerk handles authentication, Convex stores Taavo application data, Stripe handles Founding Membership payment and Vercel provides site hosting and Web Analytics. When enabled, Vercel Web Analytics may process page-view, referrer, device and approximate region information to provide traffic reporting. WhatsApp processes any group communication you choose to join. These services may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
